Clover launches their ”first of its kind in the world” TV Show – the Clover Little Big Cook Off
In a stroke of tasty brilliance Clover recently unveiled the Clover Little Big Cook Off, our delicious reality television show that blends families with food and a dash of spice.
Family members from across South Africa can enter the cooking show that will test their skills and win them prizes that include an overseas holiday for seven nights to Disneyworld, Orlando, Florida, USA, a kitchen makeover worth R 300 000 and a chance to have their recipes published in the Clover Little Big Cook Off Recipe Book.
These teams will out-cook and out-whisk each other over thirteen weeks of baking, frying and spatula-waving action in a bid to become the champions and win fantastic prizes.
Hosting the Clover Little Big Cook Off is none other than Zuraida Jardine, television & radio host, actress and entrepreneur. Belgian master chef Coco Reinarhz and Chef Extraordinaire Martin Kobald, both known names in the cooking environment, are the judges, bringing their passion for cooking to the show.
The first heat runs over nine episodes with the show kicking off at 18h00 on Saturday, 10 May 2014 on SABC3. Each episode sets three teams of two against one another as they fight to be the one chosen to appear in the finals. Then, in a build up to the finish, there will be 3 semi-finals ending in one grand finale whereby the final three teams will vie for the chance to win the coveted prizes and be the best Little Big cooking team in South Africa.
The Clover Little Big Cook Off was inspired by parents and children and how time spent cooking can really bring them together. Clover wanted to create something that got mums, dads and their kids involved in a gastronomical adventure that they will remember forever.
To demonstrate the world-first cooking challenge which will pit children and their parents against other food-mad families on national television, Clover invited the media to bring their children to a mock cook-off. Held at the Oak Leaf Country Restaurant in Sandton, Clover hosted 110 happy “chefs”. Much to the delight of all present, Clover Dover and Trodder kept an eye on proceedings and added the “icing on the cake” to the launch.
