Clover attempted to break a new Guinness Word Records title for Longest line of Sandwiches, featuring it’s Cream O’ Naise mayonnaise as the star ingredient. The previous record, achieved by the brand Nocilla in Spain in 2013, measured an incredible 3 865,78 meters.

After months planning Clover were absolutely thrilled to have secured their first ever Guinness World Record title.

The achievement was made on the 3rd of March 2018. The record breaking attempt was made possible by using 500 litres of Cream O’ Naise mayonnaise, 8100 50cm baguettes, 2600 kg of grated Clover cheese and 800kg of lettuce. South African TV and radio personality Somizi Mhlongo kept energy levels high throughout the day as baguette after baguette hit the table, edging closer to the target, right up until the official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator, Paulina Sapinska announced the end of the successful attempt at approximately 12h30 that afternoon.

After breaking the record, the Clover team sectioned out a large portion of the sandwiches and shared it among children at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, CHOC and The Gift of the Givers.
