10 Clover cheddar hard cheese slices, chopped
1 large onion, sliced
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
250g cream cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Chives, chopped
100g biltong (optional)
Heat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Spoon on a tablespoon of cheese a few centimetres apart.
Bake until the sides start to go golden – about 5 – 8 minutes.
Spray the bottom of a cupcake tin, carefully pick up the warm melted cheese and place on the bottom of the tin to form a cup. Cool completely before removing.
In a saucepan, fry the onions until golden
In a mixing bowl, mix the cream cheese, fried onion, biltong, balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper.
Fill the cups with the cheese and onion mix and top with chives.
