• 12 x 250 ml cake flour
• 20 ml cream of tartar
• 1 teaspoon (5 ml) bicarbonate of soda
• 750 g Clover Farmstyle butter
• 3 x 250 ml sugar
• 1 can (385 g) of Clover condensed milk
• 4 eggs, beaten
• 2 teaspoons (10 ml) vanilla essence
1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
2. Sift the dry ingredients together. Mix the butter and sugar until light and creamy. Add the condensed milk, eggs, essence and then the dry ingredients.
3. Mix to a dough. Turn the dough out on a lightly floured surface and roll out to a thickness of 5 mm.
4. Cut into rounds with a cookie cutter. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked.
