terms and conditions
By entering this Competition and/or accepting any prize, all participants, entrants and winners agree to be bound by the terms and conditions below (“Rules”) applicable to this Competition which is being run by Clover S.A Proprietary Limited, Registration Number 1994/001064/07 (hereafter called “the Organiser”).
Copies of these Rules are available online at www.clover.co.za (“the Website”), or at Clover Park, 200 Constantia Drive, Constantia Kloof.
You may not participate in this Competition if you do not agree to be bound by the Rules. By entering or participating in this Competition, you confirm that you agree to be bound by these Rules.
The Organiser may in its sole discretion amend these Rules at any time, without notice, and such amendment(s) shall be deemed to have taken effect from the date of publication of the revised Rules on the Website.
1. Competition period
1.1. The Competition commences at 18:00 on 10 May 2014 and ends at 18:00 on 3 August 2014, (“Viewer Competition Period”). No entries received after the end of the Competition Period will be accepted.
1.2. Entry per episode commences at 18:00 on the Saturday of show and ends 24 (twenty four) hours proceeding the first airing of the show (“Episode Competition Period”).
2. Eligible Entrants
In order to be eligible for participation in this Competition an entrant must:
2.1. be a South African citizen or a permanent resident of South Africa;
2.2. be in possession of a valid South African identity document;
2.3. in the case of the Cash Prize Allocation contemplated in clause 4.1, be 18 years old or older on the date you enter or if a minor, the entrant must be assisted to the extent necessary by a parent/legal guardian;
2.4. in the case of the Instant Cash Prize, grant the Organiser, its affiliates and its designated representatives, for a period of 3 (three) years from the date of submission thereof the right to use and exhibit the Entrant’s details in conjunction with the name and likeness of the Entrant, and consent to the uploading thereof on the social media platforms respectively, provided that the content and the Entrant’s name and likeness are used for legitimate commercial purposes and in objective good taste;
2.5. undertake to abide by these Rules, failing which the winner shall forfeit the prize on the grounds of ineligibility. Each entrant represents and warrants that by entering in or participating in this Competition, he/she has full eligibility to do so. The Organisers reserve the right to request proof that entrants have met these eligibility requirements.
3. How to participate
3.1. To enter the Competition, and stand a chance of winning the cash prizes, eligible entrants will be required:
3.1.1. to enter, the participant has to tweet @CloverLBCO or interact on www.facebook.com/cloversa and answer the episodic question put forward on Clover Little Big Cook Off reality show. The participant will be prompted to enter epsiodic based questions stated from the “Way Better Quiz” or the Host.
3.2. Entrants who have entered the Competition as set out in paragraph 3.1 above, may enter the Competition more than once. Clover S.A Proprietary Limited or its affiliated social media agency within their sole and absolute discretion will select a random winner from all correct entries made via social media for the Cash Prize.
3.3. Entry will be charged cellular data rates set out by the networks.
4. Nature of prize and prize allocation
4.1. Entrants stand a chance of being 1 (one) of approximately 13 (thirteen) weekly cash prizes to the total value of R5000.00 (five thousand rand) per epsiode for the duration of the Competition Period (“Cash Prize Allocation”);
The Competition prizes are not transferrable from the prize winners to any other person and will only be applicable to the intial airing of the episode, starting on Saturday 10 May at 18:00pm on SABC 3. Prize allocation will not be applicable to the episodic repeat airing on the Fridays proceeding the intial airing of the episode, with the repeat starting 16 May at 14:00pm on SABC 3
5. Winners
5.1. Winners of the Cash Prize Allocation:
5.1.1. will be notified within 7 (seven) working days of epsiode of entry. The host will voice over the proceedng episode informing viewers
5.1.2. entrants will receive their cash Prize within 7 (seven) days of having been notified thereof.
5.1.3. Due to the nature of the finale being as such, the viewer will be notified via telephone within 7 (seven) days of having been selected
6. General terms
6.1. The Organiser will interpret the Rules in their sole discretion and reserve the right to amend the Rules at any time in accordance with the provisions contained in these Rules. 6.2. The Organiser, its directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by it or any supplier of goods and services in connection with this Competition and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners or associates are not eligible to participate in or enter this Competition. 6.3. The Organiser may collect, store and use any personal information of entrants and/or other participants for communication or statistical purposes.
6.4. IN THE EVENT OF A DISPUTE, THE DECISION OF THE ORGANISER WILL BE FINAL AND BINDING AND NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERED INTO. IN THIS REGARD AND FOR FURTHER CLARITY, THE ORGANISER SHALL BE ENTILTED TO DEAL WITH SUCH DISPUTES (OR ANY FAILURE BY PARTICIPANTS TO FOLLOW THE RULES) IN THEIR SOLE DISCRETION, INCLUDING THAT THE ORGANISER SHALL BE ENTITLED, IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER RIGHTS WHICH THE ORGANISER MAY HAVE IN TERMS OF THESE RULES AND/OR THE GENERAL COMPETITION RULES, TO IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFY PARTICIPANTS FROM THIS COMPETITION. BY ENTERING THE COMPETITION AND/OR ACCEPTING ANY PRIZE, THE ENTRANTS, USERS AND/OR WINNERS HEREBY INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE ORGANISER (INCLUDING ITS SUBSIDIARIES, HOLDING COMPANIES AND AFFILIATES), ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS AND CONTRACTORS (THE “ORGANISER PARTIES”) FROM AND AGAINST ANY ACTIONS, CLAIMS AND/OR LIABILITY FOR INJURY, LOSS, DAMAGE, EXPENSE, CLAIM OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION, AND/OR THE USE, ACCEPTANCE OR POSSESSION OF A PRIZE, AND/OR PARTICIPATION (OR NON-PARTICIPATION) IN A PRIZE-RELATED ACTIVITY.
6.5. THE ORGANISER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE THE COMPETITION AT ANY TIME WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. IF THIS IS THE CASE, THE ORGANISER WILL PROVIDE A NOTICE ON THE WEBSITE AND IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ENTRANTS TO REVIEW SUCH WEBSITE IN THIS RESPECT. IN SUCH EVENT, ALL ENTRANTS HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHTS WHICH THEY MAY HAVE AGAINST ANY OF THE ORGANISER PARTIES AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY WILL HAVE NO RECOURSE OR CLAIM OF ANY NATURE AGAINST THE ORGANISER PARTIES
6.6. THE ORGANISER IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY TECHNICAL FAILURE THAT MAY RESULT IN AN ENTRY NOT BEING SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED. ANY PRIZE IS ACCEPTED BY A WINNER AT HIS/HER OWN RISK AND THE ORGANISER IS NOT LIABLE, AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY DEFECT IN THE PRIZE
6.7. The duration of this Competition may also be extended or curtailed at the sole discretion of the Organiser. If this is the case, the Organiser will provide notice of this on the Website. All Competition queries must be directed to the Clover Call Centre between 08h00 to 16h30. Vas rates apply, free minutes don’t.
